Girls Rule!!!

Well, it is now 3 to 1 in the Springer household. Poor Chuck!!! We welcomed Audrey Renee Springer on March 15 at 11:56 AM. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 6 oz. and she was 18.5 inches long. She is a very happy baby and fairly easygoing, but she does not like to be hungry at all. That is the only time she cries (she takes after her daddy).

Katherine has turned out to be a great "Big Sis." She is very helpful and she is always trying to kiss Audrey's cheeks. She is not intentionally mean to Audrey at all. She speaks to her in a "baby" voice and she calls her Ari. Katherine has really come out of her shell since Audrey was born. She is quite the entertainer and cracks us up on a daily basis. I think this is due to all the time she got to spend with Auntie Cayenne and her grandparents while we were in the hospital.

Chuck and I are doing pretty good as the parents of two little girls. It is a lot of work, but it is a lot of fun, too. Audrey is a really good sleeper at night, so we are not too tired. BUT I know that this might change. We realize that God has truly blessed us with wonderful children and we hope that we can do our part to raise them right.

Special thanks to Karen for housing Nana, PawPaw, and Katherine while we were in the hospital. Thanks to Nana and PawPaw for coming up and taking care of Katherine and for sticking around when we came home. Thanks to Meme and Grandpa for coming up to Shreveport. We appreciate all of the love and help we received during the birth of our second daughter.

Happy Halloween!!!

I must admit ... I think my KitKat was the cutest trick-or-treater out there. Our neighborhood put on a Halloween Hayride on the weekend of Oct. 22nd. Nana and PawPaw came that weekend and PawPaw carried her to go trick-or-treating.

Our church had a really awesome October Festival on the 31st. They had a Jumping Jupiter spacewalk with a slide and Katherine had alot of fun, but her favorite game was bowling for candy. Katherine enjoyed both activities. But don't even think about trying to take away her bag of candy. She has figured out that she LOVES candy.

In Due Time...

Well, the cat is out of the bag. Chuck and I are expecting our second child. We are due on March 18, 2007 and we are very excited. Nana, PawPaw, and Aunty Cayenne came over last weekend for a barbeque and Katherine greeted them at the door with a shirt that said "I'm going to be a big sister!" Everyone seemed to be very happy...especially Katherine because she got to play with Nana and PawPaw for three days. In fact when they were leaving on Sunday, Katherine waived good bye to me and Chuck and was heading out with her grandparents to go back to Baton Rouge.

Swim Party!!!

Last week we were able to get together with some friends and have a wonderful swim party at Ashley and Taylor's house. Katherine loved playing in the water, but the highlight of the party for her was the popsicles. Needless to say, we went straight to Wal-mart and picked some up.

KitKat's Butterfly Birthday!

Mmmm! I love cake!

Well, Katherine (aka "KitKat") is a year old now. Boy, how time flies! It really only seems like it was a short time ago that we took her home from the hospital. We celebrated her first birthday at our house in Natchitoches, but people came from all over the United States. Nana and PawPaw Sanders came from Baton Rouge, MeMe and Grandpa Springer came in from Houston, Uncle Travis came in from Huntsville, Auntie Cayenne and Uncle Char-Char came in from Shreveport, Aunt Linda came in from Palestine, MawMaw came in from Walker, and (to our happy surprise) Auntie Janna, Uncle B, Dyl-Pickle, and Blue-eyed Brooklyn came all the way from Columbus, Ohio. We had a great time with all of our family and our friends Taylor, Ashley, and Eddie. Here are some pics of Katherine's butterfly birthday party.
